Asset Skills and the Department of Energy and Climate Change have put a call out to all existing energy assessors to become one of the first Green Deal Advisors.
A joint press release says that "training will start in July and take between three and five months. Delivery models will vary and some will include distance learning. Funding is available but a contribution from the learner will also be required".
Anyone interested needs to register their interest on the Asset skills website or email greendeal@assetskills.org
In the same press release it was announced that a briefing workshop will be held in London (venue to be confirmed) on 8th May aimed at those may be interested in delivering the new training. This may be of interest to training companies, Further Education Colleges, potential Green Deal Providers or Local Authorities. A 'tender specification document' will be available to download from the Asset skills website on 4th May.
